Our Mission : Food, Education, Medicine
The Titukule Azimai Project which is being implemented by a consortium of Emmanuel International Malawi (EIM) and Centre for Alternatives for Victimized Women and Children (CAVWOC). The project is dedicated to advancing gender equality and empowering women and girls who have survived sexual and gender-based violence in the districts of Machinga, Phalombe, and Mulanje. Funded by Global Affairs Canada, the project aims to strengthen the capacity of service providers, community leaders, and women-led organizations to support survivors and promote human rights. As part of the project, EIM and CAVWOC are facilitating creation of SGBV messages together with women in the communities where the project is being implemented. The activity focuses on training women to create community messages that challenge harmful norms and perceptions surrounding SGBV. These tailored messages will be incorporated into IEC materials like placards and banners, fostering greater community awareness and engagement. Through this initiative, women leaders will be empowered to develop culturally sensitive messages that reflect local realities, encouraging positive social change. Ultimately, the activity seeks to build community support for gender equality and non-violence, ensuring that women and girls can live free from violence and discrimination.
