Today, under the Titukule Azimai project, Emmanuel International Malawi (EIM) and CAVWOC, with support from Global Affairs Canada, conducted a powerful awareness campaign in Mbanira, TA Mizinga, Machinga District. The campaign reached 150 women, 45 men, and 12 traditional leaders, focusing on raising awareness about Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV).With the themes \Break the Silence – End SGBV in Our Communities\ and \No Excuse for Abuse – Stand Against SGBV,\ impactful messages were delivered through poetry and a short drama, sparking critical conversations on SGBV.The event saw strong community collaboration and active participation from Village Agents (VAs), Champions, and Community-Based Trainers (CBTs). Branded T-shirts were also distributed to Traditional Authorities, Champions, and CBTs as part of the campaign.Together, we continue to amplify voices, empower communities, and take a stand against SGBV.
